To Swallow a River" is a multimedia project that explores ancestral connections and diasporic narratives in American culture. The project incorporates prints on translucent materials and combines video installations with ephemeral collages transformed by water. In this work, bodies of water serve both as separators and unifiers of geographical and cultural boundaries. It is a metaphor for understanding the permeable nature of belonging, the ebb and flow of identity, and the ongoing dialogue with the unknown. This work invites the audience to empathize and connect with the vulnerability of immigrant experiences through personal narratives.
